Employee Spotlight: Meet Lisa!

Our October Employee Spotlight is on Community Resources Assistant, Lisa! She is the patient and compassionate first face and voice heard when an individual or family contacts The River Center.

She is our front desk and office manager; she greets guests and program participants, manages attendance, and schedules spaces and program registrations. She also assists our data coordinator and community resource specialist in their work. Currently she works with 14 individuals and families, where she offers understanding, support, and resources to helping folks thrive. Lisa also spends January to April answering the phone, screening, and scheduling the hundreds filers who are seeking to have their tax returns prepared in our Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program.

​Professionally, Lisa joined TRC after working years in human resources at Crotched Mountain and then in the SNHS fuel assistance office. Lisa says, “My favorite part of working at The River Center is seeing the success and smiles on the faces of the families and individuals we serve. The TRC staff and team is wonderful to work with and I love being engaged in the community.”  Lisa lives in Peterborough with her boyfriend Mike and her furbaby, Blue. She loves camping, swimming, diamond painting, and most importantly, spending time with her daughters and grandchildren. In the future, Lisa hopes to continue to support her own family as well as those here at The River Center.
