Program Spotlight: Kinship Navigation

November is National Family Caregivers Month, and this year’s theme is #CaregiversConnect. According to the Caregiver Action Network, “When caregivers connect — whether it’s for support, to get information, or just to talk to someone who understands what you’re going through — it can help you feel less isolated.”

Kinship Navigators provide relatives, and non-relatives, raising non-biological children with essential connections: emotional support, education, and guidance. This free program helps both caregivers and children find their way through a complicated system.

​We are grandparents raising grandchildren, aunts and uncles raising nieces and nephews, sisters raising sisters, and neighbors raising neighbors — but we are not alone. Each month, we chat about our struggles, our wins, and our proud moments.
